Why choose Contract Production for PCB prototyping?

With a team of dedicated and passionate electronics professionals, we offer you our comprehensive prototyping services. We will manufacture PCB prototypes or pre-production batches, so you can make sure your setup is fully functional before commissioning a full production run.

Upon completion of the PCB prototype build, we will provide you with up-to-date production costs to assist with decision making and project planning moving forward. By producing a smaller run of pre-production PCBs, you can test the setup and resolve any potential issues with the board before they have the chance to affect the whole production line. We can continue to produce prototype boards until the end-product is free from bugs and glitches.

FAQs

It's essential to make sure everything about your PCB assembly is functioning correctly before committing significant resource to a full production run. Having a board that doesn't work as it should because it hasn't been thoroughly tested could cause significant issues further down the production process, costing you time and money. Collaborating with an expert partner to ensure your PCB functions correctly is an incredibly easy way to guarantee the success of your project.

By producing a smaller run of pre-production PCBs or even a one-off unit, you can test it and resolve any potential issues with the board before they have the chance to affect your whole product line. We can continue to produce prototype boards until the end-product is free from bugs and glitches.

See our Knowledge Base for further information.

We can handle prototypes, low-volume, and high-volume production runs. Standard prototyping lead times are 5-7 working days, depending on our current contracted workload, but we can offer expedited services for urgent projects. Talk to us and we'll do our best to accommodate your timelines.

We handle up to 32-layer boards, HDI designs, rigid-flex, and high-frequency materials.

We accept Gerber, ODB++, and IPC-2581 files. Our engineers provide a DFM review before prototyping to catch potential issues.

We use AOI, electrical testing, and X-ray inspection (when required) for complex designs to ensure prototypes are error-free.
