Our PCB assembly technology includes 2 x high speed fully-automated SMT lines:

  • DEK and ESE Fully automatic Stencil Printing machines
  • 2 x Panasonic AM100 SMT placement machines 0201 to 50 x 50mm BGA with up to 35,000 placements/hour per machine
  • 2 x 8 Zone Convection Reflow Ovens
  • Post reflow 2D & 3D AOI

Our Panasonic AM100 SMT placement equipment will place fine pitch high pin count BGAs, micro BGAs and 0201 component footprints with repeatable precision and accuracy. 

To complement our automated surface mount technology we offer:

Contract Production is committed to providing high-quality electronic assemblies and products. Stringent internal quality assurance procedures ensure that all finished products and PCBs are manufactured and produced to consistently high standards. All bare PCBs are manufactured on UL-approved laminates and are 100% electrically tested.

We are an ISO 9001:2015-accredited company and in addition to this certification, all our electronic assemblies are manufactured, inspected and released to the latest revision IPC-A-610 standard. Our in-house IPC-certified trainer ensures that ongoing compliance to the latest standard is maintained, providing the highest levels of confidence in our manufacturing procedures and processes at all times.

A PCB assembly service involves the manufacturing and production of printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in all kinds of electronics devices and products from mobile phones to fridges and dishwashers to wildlife trackers and sound level meters. Visit our Knowledge Base to find out more.

With surface-mount assembly, your PCB's components are fixed to the surface of the board using solder paste, as opposed to the more traditional practice of inserting wires through holes in the board. With SMT, the components used tend to be a lot smaller, potentially allowing for the size of your board to decrease. This process can be automated using SMT lines. Some components can't be surface-mounted, so we'll use through-hole assembly to affix them to your board. It involves placing components by hand and feeding metal wires through holes on the board, where the reverse side has solder applied to it, to keep it in place. We are certified to ISO 9001 for quality management and IPC-A-610 for assembly workmanship. Our quality control process includes Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray inspection (where required), and in-circuit testing (ICT) to ensure defect-free production.

We offer full turnkey services, handling component sourcing from our network of vetted suppliers. Our system tracks component availability (so we can manage materials and component obsolescence), and mitigates risks related to counterfeit parts or supply chain disruptions.

Our engineering team provides thorough DFM reviews before production. We collaborate with clients to resolve potential design issues and optimize for cost-effective manufacturing.
